Herbert Hafif

Herb Hafif’s law career begins in 1953 when he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pomona College and received his J.D. from University of Southern California Law School, Los Angeles, in 1956.
A nationally known lawyer, among his courtroom wins are a $54 million verdict against one of Orange County’s largest home builders for wrongful termination; a $34 million verdict in a civil RICO case against California Federal Savings and Loan; a $141 million punitive damage award against ComputerLand for their failure to honor a note to several investors;
recipient of many awards including being selected the “National Consumer Advocate of the Year” by the American Trial Lawyers Association, selected one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” by the National Law Journal, “Citizen of the Year for the Red Cross”, “Philanthropist of the Year in 2000", “Outstanding President in the History of the California Trial Lawyers Association”.
Mr. Hafif serves on the Advisory Board for the Center of Public Integrity where award winning investigation work includes the relationship between campaign financing and legislation, and other significant consumer interest.
